    HLTWHS005 – Conduct Manual Tasks Safely is a nationally recognised unit of competency designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge to safely identify, assess, and perform manual tasks in a variety of workplace settings.

    This unit is crucial for anyone working in roles that involve manual handling, particularly within healthcare, aged care, disability support, and community services sectors.

    Participants will learn how to:

    • Implement safe manual handling techniques
    • Use mechanical aids and equipment properly

    This training meets the Work Health and Safety (WHS) obligations for the DVA (Department of Veterans' Affairs).

    Course Structure:

    • Theory: Online – must be completed prior to course attendance
    • Practical: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM – hands-on training using real equipment and scenarios
    • Maximum class size: 10 participants
