HLTWHS005 – Conduct Manual Tasks Safely is a nationally recognised unit of competency designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge to safely identify, assess, and perform manual tasks in a variety of workplace settings.

- Delivery Format: Blended – In-person attendance is required
- Knowledge: Assessment completed via the online portal prior to the training day
- Practical Skills: One day attendance (9:30 AM – 2:30 PM) required to be assessed using manual task equipment
- Enrolment Period: 3 months
- Locations: Caboolture, Chinchilla, or Kingaroy
- Course Fee: $80 (Full Fee)
- Payment: Due within 14 days of enrolling
- Certification: Statement of Attainment issued upon successful completion (certificate will not be issued if fees are outstanding)

Additional Course Information
Manual Handling Equipment Used
Participants must be physically able to undertake manual handling tasks. You will be required to:
- Reposition a real person using slide sheets
- Operate a battery-powered sling hoist
- Use a battery-powered standing hoist
- Operate a manual standing aid (Sara Stedy)
