AQF Level 4: Graduates will possess theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for specialized and/or skilled work and/or further learning.

Course Overview

The CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services prepares individuals to deliver person-centred services to individuals and groups. This qualification enables workers to provide support, advocacy, or interventions to individuals, groups, or communities across a range of services. Workers at this level may be autonomous with limited responsibility within established parameters and may also supervise others. This course emphasizes applying skills in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards, and industry codes of practice.

Units and Vocational Placement

To successfully complete this qualification, learners must complete a total of 15 units, including seven (7) core units and eight (8) elective units. The average completion time for this qualification is 12 – 18 months. While there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, learners are encouraged to hold Certificate III in Community Services or Certificate III in Individual Support or have relevant industry experience prior to enrolling. We offer both of these courses online and classroom-based.

Fees & Charges

The course fees for the CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services are as follows:

$1500 Full Fee ($100 Per Unit)
$850 RPL

All fees must be paid in full before your certificate is issued.

QLD FUNDING

$60 Non-Concession ($4.00 per unit)
$30 Concession ($2.00 per unit)

Delivery of the course:

Face-to-Face Classes – We offer face-to-face classes in the following locations: Caboolture.
Distance/Self-Directed – You can complete this course in a self-directed model. You will have contact with your trainer via email, telephone and Zoom.

Workplace Assessment – 100 Hours

If you do choose the distance delivery model, you will need access to a laptop, internet, Microsoft Word (this excludes Open Office and Mac Pages) and PDF software.
Mobile Phones and Tablets are not recommended options to complete the assessments. If you elect to complete it on a tablet or mobile phone, you will need to have Microsoft Word installed on the device. (This excludes Open Office and Mac Pages)
You will have access to your learning and assessment materials electronically via our Learner Management System (aXcelerate).
Should you require hard copy books to complete your course, these are available at a fee of $20 per book. Payment for all hard copy books relevant to your course will be invoiced at the time of enrolment. Payment for books is required prior to posting.
